Abstract

Abstract

Background and Aim: This study aimed to predict the resilience of secondary school teachers in Chamestan City using the components of quality of work life.
Methods: This research was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-correlational. The target population included all teachers of first and second secondary schools in Chamestan city in the academic year 2024-2025, of which 145 were selected using a stratified random method based on the Cochran formula. Data collection tools included Walton's (1973) quality of work life questionnaire and Conner and Davidson's (2003) resilience questionnaire. SPSS 26 software was used to analyze the data. Research data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation test and linear regression analysis.
Results: The results of the correlation coefficient indicated a positive and significant relationship between the quality of work life for teachers and their resilience at a 99% confidence level (r = 0.340, p < 0.01). Furthermore, a significant relationship was found between all components of teachers' quality of work life and their resilience; however, no significant relationship was observed between fair and adequate compensation for teachers and their resilience. Additionally, the components of legality and human development were effective in explaining teachers' resilience, while other components of the quality of work life had minimal impact on predicting teachers' resilience.
Conclusion: By paying attention to the findings of this research, educational managers and planners can take effective steps to enhance teachers' resilience and empowerment through a better understanding of the components that contribute to quality of work life.
