Abstract
Background and Aim: The present study aimed to design a conceptual model for the components of an entrepreneurial school using a synthesis research approach.
Methods: The present study was conducted within the framework of a qualitative approach and using the meta-synthesis method with the seven-stage approach of Sandelowski and Barroso (2007). The statistical population of the study included all Persian and English research and studies published in the field of entrepreneurial school components between 2010 and 2021. In this regard, keywords related to the purpose of the study were searched and the obtained articles and documents were examined using a purposive sampling method and according to the acceptance criteria. Finally, 29 articles that met the inclusion criteria for the study were analyzed using a three-stage coding method (open, axial, selective).
Results: Based on the results of data analysis, 98 open codes were identified for data collection, which were categorized into 3 main categories and 11 subcategories, which are: individual (teacher characteristics, principal characteristics, and parent and student characteristics), intra-school (school structure, management and leadership style, infrastructure, curriculum, school culture, and organizational relations), and extra-school (social, economic, and political factors).
Conclusion: In summary, the development of entrepreneurial schools can be an effective step in transforming the educational system and training creative and efficient human resources. Therefore, the attention of educational policymakers, school administrators, and teachers to strengthening entrepreneurial components is a fundamental necessity to respond to the changing needs of today's world
