Abstract

The primary objective of this study was to assess the Factor Structure, validity and reliability of the Persian adaptation of the Career Plateauing Experiences Scale (2020). The research design employed in this study is descriptive and correlational in nature. The study population encompassed teachers from kermanshah, Iran, from whom 200 participants were selected to take part in the research through a convenient sampling method. The data were collected using the Career Plateauing Experiences Scale, the Career Plateau Scale, the Maslach Burnout Inventory, and the Job Satisfaction Questionnaire – Short Form. The analyses were conducted using SPSS26 and AMOS26 software. The results showed that the career plateauing experiences scale has concurrent validity (positive and significant correlation with the career plateau scale(, convergent validity (positive and significant correlation with Maslach Burnout Inventory) and Discriminant validity (negative and significant correlation with Job Satisfaction Questionnaire). Also, using the structural equation model, the factor structure of the scale was confirmed. Also, the results showed that the career plateauing experiences scale (2020) has good internal consistency and test-retest reliability, which was conducted on two occasions with an interval of three weeks to one month between 40 of the participants. Overall, it can be concluded that the Career Plateauing Experiences Scale (2020) demonstrates strong validity and reliability, making it a valuable tool for assessing career plateaus, particularly concerning its newly introduced dimensions
